A message from Michelle:
As a social worker, it is my job is to advocate for social justice and promote change. I believe change starts at the foundation, helping individuals, couples, and families, heal within their communities. My goal is to empower you to be the version of yourself that you long and strive to be: to heal from the wounds that have held you back from your potential. This is the foundation of change I want to promote within my community.
Each one of us has a unique story, a “fingerprint” of life that only we know. You are the expert in your life, and as such, you are the one who knows what will or will not work for you. Let us work together to find healing, to use your strength to overcome the things that challenge you. There is a beautiful quote that I believe fits well with this approach: “A bird sitting on a tree is never afraid of the branch breaking, because her trust is not on the branch but on her own wings. Believe in yourself.” -author unknown

A message from Laura:
Everything we do is an attempt to meet our needs. Life is full of unexpected challenges, and sometimes these challenges overwhelm us. We may find that our old ways of handling challenges are no longer working, and we need some help finding new strategies or new supports. I am here to help you express your needs in a healthier way and develop new skills. I have worked with both youth and adults experiencing a variety of challenges, helping them understand what lies beneath the here and now. I use a variety of modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Trauma-Focused Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and work from an attachment perspective. Reaching out for help is often a hard thing to do, and I encourage you to take that first step toward taking care of yourself. This work will not be easy, but I will be here to support you and walk beside you through this journey.
